We tend to talk about technology in terms of tools, efficiency, and progress. But the deeper story is psychological and cultural. AI doesn’t simply make things faster — it quietly rewires behaviour, attention, creativity, and identity.

This space exists to slow that conversation down. To zoom out. To look beneath the hype, the fear, and the surface-level debates — and ask what kind of humans we are becoming alongside intelligent machines.

Hi, I’m Glenn — an educator, creative, and long-time observer of how technology reshapes people.

For over 16 years, I’ve taught art, design, and communication in higher education, helping students navigate shifting tools, expectations, and creative identities. Alongside that, I’ve worked as a freelance creative — experiencing how technology actually enters everyday life.

What fascinates me most isn’t the technology itself, but its effect on humans. How systems shape behaviour. How tools alter thinking. How progress can quietly erode purpose if we’re not paying attention...

Layered Future is my attempt to make sense of these changes — and to help others do the same — before they become invisible defaults we never chose.
